HOW TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL POSHAN MAS 2020 IN SCHOOL KNOW MORE

The Directorate of Primary Education, Gandhinagar has instructed all the District Primary Education Officers of the State of Gujarat to develop Kitchen Gardens in schools on the theme of Nutrition Month 2020 in celebration of Nutrition Month 2020. All midday meal offices have also been informed


The Government has decided to celebrate the Nation Roshan themed from 1st to 30th September 2020 as the National Nutrition Mass. And with regard to the current monsoon season, this activity can be done by the school teachers and the honorarium holders of the mid-day meal scheme to develop a kitchen garden in Patangan for the nutrition of children in schools. The fruits and vegetables produced are used to prepare fresh meals for the school children so that the malnutrition rate in the children increases and the health of the children is maintained.


The kitchen garden is an important event in the celebration of September 2020 National Nutrition Mass. The activity is to be carried out. The rainy season is currently active.   • Garbage treatment and disposal activities in the existing kitchen garden
  • Planting activity of new plants

  • The youth of the village can be advised to take responsibility for preventing the activity of loss in the kitchen garden.
  • Schools are currently closed. Proper timing should be provided for regular watering of plants so that fruits can grow at the right time.
  • If the school has a CCTV camera, a CCTV camera can also be placed in front of the Kitchen Garden so that our school can keep an eye on the damage 24 hours a day.
  • Various congregations in the village like Sakhi Mandal Vegetable Fruit Development Mandal can also inform their members about this and get their cooperation.
  •   The cooperation of the youth in the village as well as the cooperation of the volunteers can also be taken for the kitchen garden activity as well as the preservation of the kitchen garden.

The following guideline has been prepared by the Government of Gujarat for the development of Kitchen Garden under National Nutrition 2020. All school principals and teachers have to work accordingly.
